Orlando · 13 shopping districts
Thirteen districts, beyond the parks.
From Park Avenue's boutiques under the oaks and the designer outlets on Vineland to Mills 50's Vietnamese grocers and the antique rows of Mount Dora and Sanford, every Orlando shopping district we cover, with what to buy, when to go and how to get there.
Editor's pick
Park Avenue
Winter Park's brick-lined main street runs along Central Park with locally owned clothiers, jewelers, a bookstore and the Morse Museum, while Hannibal Square on New England Ave adds Rifle Paper Co.'s flagship and more boutiques. It suits a slow half day of browsing, lunch and a museum stop.
This week
Disney Springs
Disney's free-entry, open-air shopping and dining district on Lake Buena Vista with nearly 100 shops across four areas: Marketplace, Town Center, The Landing and West Side. Visitors come for World of Disney and the LEGO Store, while Town Center's Uniqlo, Zara, Anthropologie and Lilly Pulitzer draw locals too.
This week
Millenia
Orlando's luxury mall off I-4 at Conroy Rd, anchored by Bloomingdale's and Macy's with a run of European houses and fine-watch salons. It's where locals and visitors go for Hermès, Cartier, Tiffany and the big beauty counters under one roof.
This week
Downtown
Orlando's central business district around Lake Eola, with Church St and Orange Ave on the west and the brick streets of Thornton Park on the east side of the lake. Retail is thin; the draws are the Sunday farmers market, galleries and a handful of specialty shops. Up Orange Avenue, Ivanhoe Village on the shore of Lake Ivanhoe adds antique, vintage and import shops between bars and restaurants.
This week
Audubon Park
A locally owned Main Street district between Winter Park, Leu Gardens and downtown, built around the East End Market food hall and a short run of record, vintage and garden shops on Corrine Drive. It suits food-first browsing and anyone hunting vinyl, vintage or Florida-made gifts.
This week
Mills 50
The district named for the crossing of Mills Ave and Colonial Dr (SR 50), just north of downtown, home to one of Florida's largest Vietnamese communities. Come for Asian grocers, a record shop, thrift and small menswear, then stay for the Michelin-recognized restaurants.
This week
Winter Garden
Downtown Winter Garden lines Plant Street west of Orlando, with the West Orange Trail alongside a strip of women's boutiques, gift shops and food stalls. Best for a slow half-day of browsing paired with lunch or a brewery stop.
This week
I-Drive
Open-air Simon outlet center at the north end of International Drive, opened in 1990 as Belz Factory Outlet World and rebuilt in 2007, with about 180 stores. It leans toward popular American brands, with Coach, Tory Burch, Nike and Polo plus a handful of designer outlets such as St. John, Marc Jacobs and Armani.
This week
College Park
A bungalow neighborhood just northwest of downtown whose Main Street, Edgewater Drive ("the Drive"), mixes gift shops, a record store, boutiques and a long-running bike shop with cafes and wine bars. It suits a relaxed local errand-and-lunch outing rather than a full shopping day.
This week
Florida Mall
Central Florida's largest traditional mall, on S Orange Blossom Trail near the airport, with Macy's, Dillard's and JCPenney plus roughly 250 shops and a Crayola Experience. It draws international visitors stocking up on Zara, Primark, Uniqlo and sneakers alongside local families.
This week
Sanford
Sanford's historic downtown north of Orlando centers on First Street, where storefronts hold antiques, folk art galleries, an indie bookshop and maker-driven gift stores. Suits browsers who like old buildings and folk art, with restaurants and a craft cocktail scene for after.
This week
Mount Dora
A small town about 45 minutes north of Orlando whose historic downtown packs boutiques, jewelers, gift shops and an artist co-op onto Donnelly Street and the side avenues. Built for a day trip, with Renninger's weekend antiques and flea market just outside town.
This week
Vineland
Open-air Simon outlet center on Vineland Ave near Disney Springs with about 160 stores, including a long run of Italian and French luxury outlets. It suits visitors and locals hunting past-season designer bags, shoes and tailoring alongside Nike, Polo and Coach.
