Antique Malls, Dealers and the Weekend Market

Mount Dora is a small lakeside town about 45 minutes north of Orlando, known for the antique shops in its historic downtown. The buying comes in three forms: a weekend market complex on US 441, multi-dealer antique malls, and a few single-owner shops and resale stores downtown and along the highway. Each keeps different days, so knowing which is which decides when you come.

The short version: Renninger's Mt. Dora is open only on Saturday and Sunday, while the downtown antique mall is open seven days. A Saturday covers Renninger's and the downtown mall. A weekday works for the mall, but leave Renninger's for another trip, and note that several smaller shops keep shorter weeks, listed below. For the rest of the town's boutiques, see our Mount Dora district page.

Renninger's: Antique Center, Flea Market and Extravaganzas

Renninger's Mt. Dora (20651 US Hwy 441) sits outside downtown and has three sections: an Antique Center, a Flea and Farmer's Market and a Consignment Center. Each is open Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 4pm.

Three times a season the complex holds its Antiques & Collectors Extravaganza, with about 800 vendors. The 2026–27 dates are November 20–22, 2026, January 15–17, 2027 and February 19–21, 2027. Dealers open at 8am each day. Admission is cash only at the gate: $10 on Friday, $6 on Saturday, $4 on Sunday, or $15 for all three days. Parking is free.

Friday is opening day and costs the most. If you are browsing, Sunday is the cheapest gate. The Extravaganza is held under open-air buildings and tents, so dress for the weather. Renninger's also lists a Holiday Antique and Craft Market on Saturday, December 5, with free admission and parking. The chamber's festival guide lists it as Christmas at the Market, December 5–6.

Downtown: Village Antique Mall and Highland Street

Village Antique Mall (405 N Highland St) is the downtown antique mall and the answer for a weekday trip. It is an air-conditioned 12,000 square-foot building with more than 60 vendors of antiques and collectibles. Hours are Monday to Wednesday 11am to 5pm and Thursday to Sunday 10am to 6pm. The mall's old website address no longer points to the store, so call (352) 385-0257 rather than searching for a site.

On the same street, Flipping Good Finds (121 N Highland St) is a mom-and-pop shop for antiques, art and vintage, leaning toward one-of-a-kind art, lighting, home furnishings and decor. It doesn't post hours, so call before you make it the reason for a trip.

Donnelly Street: Thrift and Records

Hospice Hope Chest (315 N Donnelly St), at the corner of Third Avenue, is a nonprofit thrift shop with used jewelry, housewares, books and furniture. It is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 1pm to 4pm, and closed Mondays.

Record collectors should look for ReVibe Vintage & Vinyl, inside the Mount Dora Marketplace at 334 N Donnelly St. It sells vinyl, including classic rock and jazz albums, alongside vintage collectibles. A local magazine reported its hours in late 2025 as Wednesday to Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm. Call ahead, since shops inside marketplaces can change hours.

US 441: Malls, Mid-Century and Resale

US 441 and Old US Hwy 441 hold more dealers. Treasure Marts (2728 W Old US Hwy 441) has more than 100 vendors who rotate stock regularly, mixing older pieces with new goods. The chamber listing gives its hours as Sunday to Friday 10am to 6pm, which leaves out Saturday, so call before a weekend run.

For mid-century, go to Mid Mod & More (21800 US Hwy 441). It sells furniture, home goods and art in mid-century, postmodern and related styles, with pieces from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and beyond. It doesn't post hours.

Two resale stops round out the highway. Restoration Resale Thrift Store (2235 W Old US Hwy 441) is run by Hand in Hand Recovery. It is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm and offers local pickup and delivery for large items, which helps if you find a dresser and drove a sedan. Bricks & Minifigs Mount Dora (16844 US 441 S) buys, sells and trades LEGO sets, minifigures and bulk bricks. It is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sunday noon to 6pm.

Booths, Downtown and the Season

How to Shop a Multi-Dealer Mall

Village Antique Mall and Treasure Marts are multi-vendor malls, so each booth is stocked and priced by a different seller. Prices and condition vary from booth to booth, even under one roof. Ask at the front counter whether a price has any room in it, and whether they can hold a piece while you finish the building.

Bring a tape measure and the dimensions of the space you're filling. Ask before you pay how a large piece leaves the building and whether it can be picked up later. For the Extravaganzas, carry cash for the gate. Bring a cart or tote too, because the grounds are larger than a downtown block.

Make a Day of It Downtown

Between antiques stops, downtown has more shops on 4th Avenue and Donnelly Street. Artisans of Mt. Dora (139 E 4th Ave) is a co-op showing work by about 30 Central Florida artists. Modernism Museum Shoppe (144 E 4th Ave) sells handcrafted jewelry and home decor and stays open to 9pm on Friday and Saturday. For custom jewelry, Gold In Art Jewelers (420 N Donnelly St) sells diamonds and takes custom design work, Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.

For a meal, 1921 Mount Dora (142 E 4th Ave) is listed by MICHELIN: a converted 1921 house with a changing menu of local ingredients, house-made rolls and fried green tomatoes. See our MICHELIN guide for the rest of the region's list.

Dates for the 2026–27 Season

Several of Mount Dora's festivals fall in the antiques season, so plan around them. The Craft Fair runs October 24–25, 2026, 9am to 5pm downtown. The Plant and Garden Fair follows on November 7–8. Light Up Mount Dora is November 21 from 5pm, and the Christmas Walk on December 4, 6pm to 9pm, keeps shops open late. The Christmas Parade steps off on Donnelly Street at 10am on December 5.

In the new year, the Highwaymen Art Show, Sale & Benefit is January 9–10, 2027 at the Donnelly Park Pavilion. The 52nd Mount Dora Arts Festival is February 6–7, 2027, with about 285 juried artists.

Driving and Parking

Plan to drive: SunRail, LYMMO and I-Ride don't serve Mount Dora. Village Antique Mall lists plenty of parking, and Renninger's parking is free. Downtown, a 22-space lot for golf carts and motorcycles at 505 N Alexander St was repaved and restriped in December 2025. On festival weekends, arrive early.
