How the Florida Mall Works
The Florida Mall sits at 8001 S Orange Blossom Trail, at Sand Lake Road, near the airport. Macy's, Dillard's and JCPenney anchor it, and the shops are laid out in named wings: Macy's, Apple, Plaza, Grand Court, Dining Pavilion, Dillard's and Dick's Sporting Goods. The mall's directory uses those names, and this guide does too.
International visitors come for Primark, Zara and Uniqlo and for Spanish labels like TOUS and Purificación García. Local families come for the kids' stops: the American Girl store, the Crayola Experience and Build-A-Bear. Mall hours are Monday to Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 9pm, and Sunday 11am to 7pm. Anchors such as Macy's, Dillard's, JCPenney and Dick's Sporting Goods keep their own hours, so check the store list below if one of them is the reason for your trip.
The Plaza Wing: Fast Fashion and Value
Start in the Plaza wing. Primark (8001 S Orange Blossom Trail, Plaza wing) is the Irish low-price chain, with clothing, basics, homewares and beauty for the whole family in a two-story store. Visit Orlando reports a whole floor of Disney-licensed merchandise. Primark has since opened a second Orlando store at Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, but the Florida Mall store came first.
Near Primark, Zara (Plaza wing) carries women's, men's and kids' clothing and shoes. Mango (Plaza wing) has a more tailored, European cut: blazers, dresses and accessories. Then cross toward Grand Court for Uniqlo (Grand Court), the Japanese basics store, for HEATTECH and AIRism layers, denim and knitwear for men, women and kids.
Spanish, Colombian and Indian Brands
Spanish, Colombian and Indian Labels
Purificación García (Grand Court) is a Spanish label selling leather handbags, women's clothing and accessories. TOUS (Dining Pavilion wing) is the Barcelona jewelry house known for its bear-motif pieces in gold and silver, and it also sells bags and watches.
Tanishq (Plaza wing, near the Primark entrance) is the Indian jewelry brand, and WhatNow Orlando reported it as the first Tanishq in Florida. It sells 22K gold, diamond and bridal pieces in traditional and modern Indian designs. If you are shopping for bridal gold, ask for the karat and weight of each piece in writing so you can compare pieces fairly.
For a break, Juan Valdez Colombian Coffee has two counters, one in Grand Court and one in the Dillard's wing, with espresso drinks and bags of Colombian beans to take home.
American Girl, Crayola and Build-A-Bear
For Kids: Dolls, Crayons, Bears and Blind Boxes
American Girl (Plaza wing, next to Zara) is, per Visit Orlando, the only American Girl store in Florida. It sells the 18-inch dolls, outfits, accessories and books. The store's own page lists the Dolled Up Salon for doll hairstyles, doll nail polish and ear piercing for girls and dolls, a Styled by You station that needs no reservation, a Doll Care Center, parties, and teatime at the café, which does need a reservation.
The Crayola Experience (Dick's Sporting Goods wing, southeast entrance) is an indoor attraction with more than 20 attractions, including a Slime Lab. It has its own entrance on the southeast side of the mall, with free parking in front. The Crayola Store beside it needs no admission to shop, so you can buy crayons, markers, art kits and the Pick Your Pack crayon wall without a ticket. Crayola says the attraction opens daily at 10am, and Simon lists its hours as Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. The store keeps mall hours.
Build-A-Bear Workshop (Macy's wing) is where kids pick, stuff and dress a bear. Inside Macy's, a Toys R Us shop is on the second floor. For older kids and adults who collect, Pop Mart (by the main entrance) sells blind-box figures and plush; Visit Orlando calls it the first Pop Mart in Florida.
Department Stores, Beauty and Tech
Department Stores, Beauty, Tech and Chocolate
Macy's has fashion, beauty and home. Dillard's (Dillard's wing, beside the Dining Pavilion) covers women's, men's and kids' clothing, shoes, cosmetics and home. JCPenney is the value option, with apparel, shoes, jewelry and home basics, plus an optical shop and salon inside.
Near the Macy's entrance, Apple, Sephora and lululemon sit close together, for electronics, makeup and skincare, and Align leggings. LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics (Grand Court) sells bath bombs and solid shampoo bars,, many sold without packaging. Dick's Sporting Goods anchors its own wing by the Crayola Experience, for athletic shoes, team gear and fitness equipment. End at Läderach Chocolatier Suisse (Dining Pavilion wing), which sells fresh-broken FrischSchoggi slabs by weight. For luxury houses, see our Mall at Millenia page, and for discounted brands read Vineland vs. International Premium Outlets.
Coupons, Strollers and Tax
Planning a Big Haul
Simon Guest Services, in Macy's Court in front of Macy's, sells a $5 coupon book with discounts across the mall, and Simon says it has bilingual staff. Guest Services also lends wheelchairs free, first come, first served, and Scoozer scooters are rented in front of it. Zoomaroo stroller rentals are at the Plaza entrance, the Fashion Q entrance and the Dick's wing.
Currency Exchange International changes money in the mall, and there are Travelex ATMs near Macy's and the Dining Pavilion. Florida's state sales tax is 6%, and counties can add a local surtax on top. The US generally doesn't refund sales tax to foreign visitors, and Florida has no tourist refund, so the price at the register is the price you pay. The Dining Pavilion has more than 20 restaurants for a break between wings.
Guest Services keeps shorter hours than the shops: Monday to Thursday noon to 7pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 7pm, and Sunday noon to 5pm. It also handles lost and found and group check-in. The mall's management office has a Convention & Visitor Bureau desk with directions, guides and coupons. The mall offers free Wi-Fi, and there is EV and Tesla charging in the lots. At American Girl, personal shopping is free by appointment, and the store offers curbside and in-store pickup, which helps if you order ahead and want to skip the browsing with tired kids.
Parking, Valet and Transit
Getting There and Parking
The mall is at 8001 S Orange Blossom Trail, at Sand Lake Road. Simon lists more than 9,220 parking spaces. Valet runs Thursday to Sunday at the Plaza entrance near Primark and at the Dining Pavilion entrance. Ride-share pickups are in Zone 1, to the right of the Dining Pavilion outside, and Zone 2, near the Macy's entrance. Tour buses drop off in front of Fashion Q, between Macy's and the Florida Hotel.
Without a car, LYNX buses stop outside JCPenney, and a Transit Center in the overflow lot between JCPenney and Sears is served by LYNX and FlixBus. The Florida Hotel & Conference Center, with 511 rooms, is on the mall site; see our hotels near Orlando shopping guide for other options.
